Welcome to the Victorian Companion Card

Example of a Companion Card.

The Companion Card is for people with significant, permanent disability who can demonstrate they need high-level support from a carer when attending most community activities or events, and that this need is life-long.

The Companion Card allows a person's carer free entry into participating venues and events.

Companion Card is accepted on Victorian public transport.
Public Transport accepts Companion Card
Companion Card can now be used on all Victorian public transport services. Cardholders can have their companions travel without charge, on all train and tram services, and all metropolitan bus services, country trains, coach and town bus services.

For residents in Victoria

Contact the Victorian Companion Card information line on 1800 650 611 between 10.00am to 2.00pm Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.

The Victorian Companion Card Program welcomes feedback as a way to help us improve our services.  The program is administered by the Department of Health and Human Services which has an established process for handling feedback and complaints.
